Sockeye Salmon are indigenous to the Northwest waters of North America. Their name, Sockeye, is thought to be a variance from the Indian name "Sukkai". From red and green in fresh water to blue and silver in the vast oceans these salmon will live up to 6 years. At the end of their maturity they will return to lay eggs in the same river waters of their many ancestors afore. Truly the "Sukkai" are a marvel among fish and a favorite among fishermen.
